SmartForest PC

An interactive forest visualizer for Windows

SmartForest This is an experimental port of the Unix version of SmartForest to the Windows platform. This port is known to work on Windows95 and WindowsNT. SmartForest PC is an experimental port only and is not being actively developed or supported.

SmartForest PC is available for download as a ZIP file via anonymous FTP at ftp://www.imlab.psu.edu/pub/smforest/sfpc.zip

Installing SmartForest PC

  • Download sfpc.zip.
  • Unzip sfpc.zip using software like WinZIP.
  • After unzipping a folder named "forest" will be created.
  • Move this folder to the C:\ drive of your computer. SmartForest PC will only run if it is placed on the C drive at the top. This means that the "forest" directory will be placed at "c:\forest" for SmartForest to work.
  • To start SmartForest PC click on the SmartForest.exe icon in the c:\forest\SmartForest\Release\ directory.
